9 Steps to Chemically Straighten Your Hair

Do you want to go from frizzy to fabulous without the formaldehyde factor of a  Keratin treatment? Well now you can achieve those silky, smooth and shiny locks with the help of Matrix Opti. Smooth by following these steps.

blow_dryStep 1) Cleanse your hair with cleansing shampoo like Paul Mitchell Clarifying Shampoo then towel and blow dry your hair. After that divide your hair into sections and spray each section with Opti-Pre Treat.

Step 2) Always work from the bottom layer of the hair and go to the top, starting at the nape of the neck, apply the Opti. Smoothing Creme and comb each section.

Step 3) Completely comb all of the hair, wrap the hair with plastic wrap and time out for 20-40 minutes depending on the thickness of the hair.

Step 4) After 10 minutes, create a knot test by taking a small section of the hair and remove excess product. Make a knot 1-2 inches from the scalp, pull on both ends and let go if the knot doesn’t pop open easily it’s done processing but if the knot opens then it needs to be processed longer.

Step 5) Undo the knot, rise for 10 minutes and comb hair and spray all sections with Opti-Pre-Treat a second round.

Step 6) Blow dry your hair 80%, then flat iron hair.

Step 7) Always work from the bottom layer of the hair and go to the top by dividing the hair into sections, starting at the nape of the neck, use the Opti Conditioning Neutralizer and leave it in for 10 minutes.
